The Magnus Collection of vases was inspired by brutalism – a style that distinctly underscores the creator’s signature and has experienced a new wave of interest in recent years. Magnus is a confident solitaire, clearly defined in relation to space, with surprising volume and emotional depth. Renowned designer Jan Plecháč united this brutalist style with a unique colouring.

The glassmakers blow the Magnus vase into handmade pearwood moulds. This requires great dexterity and experience as they precisely apply the molten glass, estimating the desired thickness of the walls and height of the massive bottom piece, known as the “ice”. The vase is then brought to perfection by the masterful cutters.
