HELPING TOGETHER: MOSER SEEN THROUGH THE EYES OF JAN SAUDEK

“It is almost impossible to capture the strength hidden behind women’s beauty and seeming fragility, just as it is difficult to express the true nature of Moser luxury crystal. Still, that does not mean that I will ever cease trying.“

If there is anyone who can at least draw close to such achievement, it is, indeed, the author of this quote, the world-famous Czech photographer Jan Saudek himself. Thus, we had it clear when choosing the personage for the “Through the Eyes of the Photographer“ section in the first issue of the Moser magazine. Just think about it! Who else to pick for highlighting Moser crystal beauty than the author who has been the best credit to Czech art for decades with his unique approach to portraying femininity?

And, on the top of that, the outcomes of the photoshoot in the famous Saudek studio will now serve a good cause. From 16th September on, the original prints of the photographs can be not only seen, but also purchased in our Prague sales gallery at Na Příkopech street. To be more precise, 3 of the pictures have been available for sale since the exhibition opening. We had kept the last one called “Women standing with a sword“ for a special occasion. The D-day then came yesterday with the ceremonial auction of both the print and Moser decant bottle in the picture. As a result, the organisation Be Charity, founded by Barbara Nesvatbová for helping mentally disabled as well as long-term ill people and their families, will receive a donation worth of 70 thousand Czech crowns in total. Thus, art has manifested its power again – this time through cooperation of two strong craft names. And you can experience Moser glass seen through Jan Saudek’s eyes as well – until 25th November, when the exhibition officially ends.
