Simple, yet decorative
Ingrid Račková and David Suchopárek co-founded the design studio IRDS. When called upon to design a drinkware collection for our glassworks, they opted for a seemingly simple shape. That’s why the individual elements of their Sonnet Collection rely on nothing more than the purity of Moser crystal and a precise cut. In so doing, the authors wanted to induce a feeling of peace and balance in our complicated lives.
At first glance, some parts of the collection may appear obvious, and yet, they’re quite technically demanding in practice. The master cutters must possess a strong hand, immense experience, and attention to detail. The result is an elegant set that fits in both modern and class interiors.
Clear or coloured crystal? How about both?
“Working with the Moser colours is wonderful but also challenging. They’re like their own personalities, and it isn’t easy to achieve an understanding of the intended essence,” recalled the IRDS designers, describing their work. And yet, they managed to achieve this exact goal with the Sonnet Collection. This drinkware set has its own distinctive style, which highlights the typical shades of Carlsbad crystal. Thus, you can combine not only glasses with an assortment of different drinks but also clear glass with its hued variations.

Even the shape of your glass can contribute to a pleasant experience. The pouring glasses (tumblers and highballs) feel incredibly nice to hold, even for women. That’s because they’re smaller than those typical of our other collections – yet another reason why this set remains endlessly popular.
