Ludwig Moser
Skilled engraver and businessman, founder of the glass factory Moser. Gentle engravings, hiding his handwriting within, may embellish your crystal treasure
Ludwig Moser was born in 1833. During his life, he often changed living between his birthplace, Karlovy Vary, and Vienna. He was apprenticed to engraving at a well-known engraver from Karlovy Vary, Andres Mattoni. Moreover, Moser improved his drawing at a famous painter, Ernst Anton. In 1857, Moser resolved to establish his own business. And so, the glass factory Moser was born. The factory’s products became largely celebrated across the whole of Europe. It’s no wonder, as Ludwig Moser put everything he could into the art of glassmaking. Not only he supervised the whole production, but he designed plenty of products himself.
Reveal the secrets of engravings, coming from the sketchbook of the glass factory’s founder.
Moser’s sketchbook within your glass
The most beautiful ideas are often born on paper. Ludwig Moser’s essentiality happened to be his sketchbooks, into which he inscribed his designs. We traced those back for you. Based on them, we enriched our configurator with templates of quite special engravings. You have rather a unique opportunity now, as you may employ those engravings to decorate the chosen drink collections. Delicate flowers make a perfect fit for whisky and wine glasses. Commemorate the masterpiece of this significant artist whenever you fancy it.
