In 1934, designer Rudolf Eschler created the iconic Bar Collection. The genius union of circular and squared shapes still dazzles 90 years later, so we decided to celebrate the nine decades of Bar with a limited edition that includes only – you guessed it – 90 sets.

The new collection consists of two 220 ml glasses and a carafe. Each set was handmade from pure, lead-free crystal, is marked with its own number, and adorned with a golden letter ‘M’. Allow yourself to be whisked off into the pre-war era, if only for a moment, and feel like you’re at a jazz bar where stars from the silver screen elegantly sip their drinks, maybe even using glasses from our iconic collection.

Optical play on clear or coloured crystal

In the Bar collection, Rudolf Esschler used a unique Moser method: the crystal glass is formed with abrupt force, followed by a meticulous edge cut. The illusion of melting ice cubes in the clear cut glass, created by the lines, is complemented by the use of typical Moser colours (beryl, eldor, rosaline, alexandrite, aquamarine, topaz) and oceanite and smoke colour shades. In 2019, two glass sizes in underlaid colours were added. For the most demanding customers and for exceptional occasions, the collection can be adorned with custom platinum or gold décor.

    Rudolf Eschler

In the 1930s, Rudolf Eschler was one of the most successful Moser designers. His work formed a significant part of several world expositions in Chicago, Bruxelles and Paris. The timelessness of Eschler’s work is also shown by the fact that, in addition to the Bar collection, his Culbuto line is also still in production. His perfume and liquor sets, recognisable by their strictly square shapes, are also highly prized by collectors and in auctions.
