The delicate floral motif united with a precise Moser cut was combined in an elegant collection under the exotic name Maharani in 1895. This drinkware set, decorated with 24-carat gold stripes, met an enthusiastic response shortly after its introduction. Besides the wife of the Maharaja of Travancore, for whom the collection was created, its owners included Sultan Mohammed V of Morocco, the Ethiopean crown prince Asfa Wossen, the Indonesian president Sukarno, the royal family of Bahrain and the Maharaja of Alirajpur.

Lace engraved in glass
In the Maharani collection, the engraved floral motif meets the graceful shape of the goblet, which gradually merges into an elegant stem which is cut into six facets. The richness of the décor is further enhanced with a pearl cut. The delicacy of the engraved lace will stand out on both clear crystal or on one of the typical Moser colour shades (alexandrite, aquamarine, beryl, eldor, rosaline and topaz). Each item of this collection is a testament to the craftsmanship of the Moser glassmasters. Originally this collection is made with 24-karat décor.
