After the success in Paris, Moser set off to Berlin

The experience was nothing short of euphoric at the prestigious Maison&Objet fair in Paris.

The interest shown in the crystal works from our glassworks was enormous. We brought only the best Moser items with us to Paris, which allowed us to present the nearly 170-year history of the brand, its unique design, colours, and precise, handcrafted crystal products. The presentation itself was also captivating, having derived from the successful “Born of Sand” installation seen at Designblok 2024, where we won the largest possible award, the Grand Prix. The installation pays homage to the fundamental glassmaking ingredient: sand, which our masters’ hands transform into crystal wonders, both creative and playful. It was here that Moser’s iconic collections were presented and created a fascinating dialogue with the bold new pieces, designed by the glassworks’ current Art Director, Jan Plecháč.

We garnered many new clients from around the world – from Europe, both North and South America, as well as India, China, Japan, the Philippines, and the Middle East. Our personalised display and the option to see our crystal products for themselves proved crucial. Clients, featuring many retailers, architects, and interior designers, place orders for the entire year while at this fair, and the option to actually see the pieces in real life is quite important to them. The presence of our Art Director, Jan Plecháč, was also appreciated, as he personally described to the clients his inspiration for the individual works and how they’re made at the glassworks.

At the iconic Kaufhaus des Westens

After the fair, the “Born of Sand” installation proved so popular that a slightly altered version of it set off for Berlin, to appear in the iconic KaDeWe shopping centre. KaDeWe is to Berlin what Macy’s is to New York, Harrods to London, and Galeries Lafayette to Paris. It’s one of the largest and most famous shopping centres in Europe, whose full name is Kaufhaus des Westens. It was first opened in 1907, virtually destroyed during the fighting in Berlin, and then fully rebuilt, before becoming a symbol of West Berlin during the days of the Iron Curtain. Its history is so intriguing and colourful that a number of specialist books as well as novels and television shows have been dedicated to it.

Moser is now presenting at KaDeWe until 29 March 2025, on the fifth floor next to installations by the renowned French glassworks Lalique and Baccarat. Here the thousands of Berliners and tourists who visit KaDeWe every day can enjoy the drinkware collections Jewel,

Solaris, Maharani, and Splendid, the vasesPineapple, Stones, Caorle, Montagne, Amalfi, Harmonic, Fungi, Dotty, and the brand-new Drop and Abyss Family.
